Our Story

East Coast Laser & Survey Pty Ltd, are the owners of business name “East Coast Lasers”. The original company was incorporated by Garth Tingle in Queensland in 1975 and first began trading in construction lasers in early 1978. Garth has now retired.

In those days, we only sold the Spectra-Physics brand and around 1985 were appointed the Queensland distributor for Spectra. We set-up dealerships around Queensland and looked after Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Northern NSW for many years.

In 1989 we left Spectra and commenced selling the Laser Alignment brand.

Around the late nineties we diversified into stocking virtually all brands of construction lasers as the product base offered by the one brand didn’t satisfy all the needs of our customers.

Today we still sell most major brands, with Leica (formerly Laser Alignment) being our premium quality brand. Other popular choices are the Extreme, Powerline, General, Geo Fennel and Geo Laser brands.

East Coast Lasers Offer

Hire
We hire level, single grade, dual grade and ceiling lasers (with rotating heads), pipe lasers and some machine control components, by the day or week, at competitive prices. All lasers are checked and cleaned (using our quality assurance system) on return and are current models in most cases.
Outstanding Support
Modules comes fully documented with step by step instructions.
Servicing
We will pick up, or arrange for collection, of your laser equipment requiring servicing. All lasers sent for standard service and calibration will be completed within 24 hours of us receiving them.
Repairs
We are able to repair or have repaired most brands of lasers and optical equipment and offer a free “while you wait” calibration checking service* (Conditions apply)
Quality Assurance
We operate a strict Quality Assurance Programme to protect our customers’ interests, as well as our own. Every laser that comes into our store is calibration and operation checked and we offer a prompt service with 24 Hour turn around. We have wide experience with machine control systems for graders, dozers, scrapers, excavators and agricultural land-levelling.
